Welcome to my personal web site!

Here you'll learn all about me: My interests and hobbies, the people in my family, my pets, and more. I've even added a list of my favorite links to other sites.

On this home page, the "doorway" to my site, I'll introduce myself and talk about my reasons for wanting a web site.

I made this homepage and keep it updated for it is the diary of my life. What I am feeling, what I think, where I have been.

Also, it is difficult to explain my life to others. When they ask, I can give them a "blow off" explanation of what it is to be me or I can lead them to this website. The people I lead to this website are the people I like and feel comfortable with since it involved my closest emotions.

This is the view from the deck of my house in Los Gatos. It overlooks Silicon Valley. This picture was taken on a Hazy day. Sometimes you can see Mt. Diablo, the south end of the bay, the three bay bridges, and Oakland. I live in the foothills at about the 800 foot level between Los Gatos and Saratoga on 2.1 acres covered with Oak and Bay trees. The house is a "cabin" from the 1940's which I am in the process of having replaced with a new home. I understand this process will take another year plus to complete. For me, there is no more wonderful place to live on this earth than where I live. I walk out the front door every day I'm there thinking how thankful I am to have such a wonderful place to live.

What's new?

I have also been working on my new home. The basic home outside structure is the one you can reach via this link.  The inside has been changed drastically.

With several modifications including changing the "garage" area to a 1 bedroom & 1bath while changing the other downstairs bedrooms to be a 1 bedroom & 1 bath area also making the pantry much larger will make this the perfect home. This house will be a 4 bed 4.5 bath home. Every bedroom has it's own bath. I submitted for "site approval" for the third time on 9-10-06. After getting my attorney involved due to the extremely long time it was taking to get this done, I finally got a written sheet of all that needs to be finished.  This will be done and turned within 30 days.

We had a fire 1-18-05 at one of the apt. complexes I own in a partnership and do the professional management of.  This loss was around $3 Million.  It will take about 3 years to get it all torn down and rebuilt.  After that, I will place all my investment Real Estate items up for sale, exchange out into TIC programs, and quit working (as I know it) forever. The begining of my next stage in life.

After I quit my existing work, I will have no physical boundries that I can't overcome.  I wish to spend time in Los Gatos, but I can live anywhere it's warm and take my special person along with me. We can have a wonderful life.

I've legally moved to Reno yet I spend little time there so far. I figure when things slow down workwise for me I will spend much more time there during the warm months.  I have a very nice 5113 sq ft house there also with breathtaking views. There is also a 1200 SQ FT guest house so that long term guests will not get in my face., My plan: live in Reno about 1/4 of 2008 travel for 1.5 months and work to get things finished off in Los Gatos and surrounding areas.

More of: What's New?

I've just completed a through renovation to my Playa Flamingo condo. New everything from the HVAC which is now silent, controllable temps by room, and twice as efficie t as the old system. New furnature/kitchen ware. This is a 2 bed/2 bath "Luxury apartment" condo on the bay on the first floor about 150 feet from the private beach with an unobstructed view of the water overlooking the bay in Playa Flamingo.  http://www.flamingomarina.com

I'll have to book another trip to Costa Rica in late Oct. to get things checked out and handled to my approval level.  Too Bad.  :)

I had a great time in Waikiki for New Years again this year.   Something fun to do when business is slow and I like to get away into warm weather.  Looks like I missed the cold storms in Calif/Reno   Nice time to get away.
I bought a 1 bed 1 bath condo on the Boulder creek golf course. Why? I don't know but it was a good deal and it is surrounded by a moat.... I had it renovated and now renting it out.

Misc:  In Oct 2007 I bought a Toyota Camry Hybrid.  Why you ask?  I saw Al Gore's film "An Unfortunate Incident".  Even though I don't have children, I take responsibility in making this planet livable for future generations.  No, I'm not a Granola Muncher.  Just someone who cares a bit more than others.

The Camry Hybrid is great plenty of power, the quietest car I've ever been in, and very good handling.   It's fun to drive by people as they hear nothing from your car going by with quizitive looks on their faces.

The Camry 2007 is a cool looking car compared to previous Camrys.  I just couldn't by a car that screamed "Hybrid" so I looked at the two I would consider: The Honda Accord and the Toyota.  The Toyota won out by a huge margin.   Truely a superior car.  Looks great in "Desert Sand Mica".

2-19 update.  I STILL LOVE this car!  187 HP, electronic stability control, fantastic stereo, silent ride even at 90 on the freeway.  This car is amazing!
